Are you thinking of selling your home?  The market is starting to heat up along with the weather.  I have personally noticed an increase in sales across the board in all price ranges.  I have seen the low priced $50,000 dollar homes selling and all the way up to the million dollar dream homes selling, along with everything in between.

Many people have been putting off listing their home for fear of getting " Beat Up " on the price of their home.  I won't say you still won't get the odd buyer trying to steal your home for much less than you are asking, but in general if your home is priced right from the start and is well kept or even shows great potential, it will likely sell in today's market.

There is a pent up demand for real estate and even cars and trucks.  People have feared making a major purchase because they didn't know what is happening next in our local and world economy.  These people have now decided, so it seems, that we have probably made it through the worst that we are going to see.  There are great signs that things are starting to turn around in our local economy and with one of our largest local employers (Chrysler) getting the employees back to work I think we can hear a huge sigh of relief.  Let's hope we see great new products from our local assembly plant.

There is also talk from our Mayor Eddie Francis that there is a great likelihood that a new manufacturing company will be setting up shop in Windsor Ontario.  I believe the rumor is that has something to do with "Green technology".  We could probably speculate what this is, but we should find out for sure soon enough.  This will be met with cheers I'm sure from those of us in Windsor and Essex County that are still unemployed.

For those of you that have been contemplating purchasing that new home, I would recommend you act today.  Interest rates are on the rise and I am told that once things really get going in the world economy, interest rates are really going to start climbing and it may put that home purchase out of reach for many would be home buyer's.
